How to make Homemade Peanut butter cups!
So….I was craving peanut butter cups, but I didn’t have any in my pantry. I did however have ingredients to make my own!!
To make these fabulous treats, you will need the following ingredients:
1 cup regular creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea or kosher salt
16 ounce milk chocolate bar
In a small bowl combine 1 cup peanut butter,
3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar,
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract,
and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Mix well with a fork until completely combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.
In a double boiler, add 16 ounces of milk chocolate bars
and stir chocolate until melted and SMOOTH.
Using a teaspoon of the melted chocolate, push up the sides to form the “shell”
Place “shells” in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Now, roll the peanut butter filling mixture into balls
and press them into the “shells”.
Cover the filling with remaining melted chocolate and pound tray to remove any bubbles.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Enjoy!!
